Units of Competency
In alignment with industry consultation and the job role expectations, the following is needed for course admission:
- A valid Category 3 or 1 Rail Medical assessment
- CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
- TLIF0020 Safely Access the Rail Corridor
Completing the Rail Labourer course can support further development and career progression within the rail industry.
- Pathway to Track Work and Infrastructure Roles.
- Pathway to Qualifications including but not limited to TLI27121 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure
This course is delivered through three days of classroom-based learning and includes knowledge assessments and practical observations in a simulated environment to evaluate both theoretical understanding and hands-on competence.
- Knowledge assessments: Written tests to evaluate participants' understanding of the course material.
- Practical observation assessments: Hands-on activities where participants demonstrate their skills in a controlled environment.
