In alignment with industry consultation and the job role expectations, the following is needed for course admission:

  • A valid Category 3 or 1 Rail Medical assessment
  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • TLIF0020 Safely Access the Rail Corridor

Completing the Rail Labourer course can support further development and career progression within the rail industry.

  • Pathway to Track Work and Infrastructure Roles.
  • Pathway to Qualifications including but not limited to TLI27121 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure

This course is delivered through three days of classroom-based learning and includes knowledge assessments and practical observations in a simulated environment to evaluate both theoretical understanding and hands-on competence.

  • Knowledge assessments: Written tests to evaluate participants' understanding of the course material.
  • Practical observation assessments: Hands-on activities where participants demonstrate their skills in a controlled environment.
